They are designed to identify problems ahead of time and have the potential to even prevent accidents. ADAS includes:

The ADAS systems make use of a series of laser sensors and cameras in order to detect the vehicle's surroundings. If any of these are out of place, the system will be unable to work efficiently and there is a higher chance of you being involved in an accident. Insurance companies are now looking at whether you have recently had any work completed on your vehicle and whether you have had these systems calibrated as they should be. If your car has repairs ranging from steering and suspensions repairs, headlamp replacement, body work damage (bumpers being removed for repair work) wing mirrors replaced (only if the car is fitted with 360 degree cameras) or windscreen repairs or replacement we would recommend that a calibration is done. All these components have a significant part on ADAS systems working to prevent an accident with the vehicle.
